Before and after removal of both breast implants (explantation) in a 43 year old woman. She never felt like they were part of her for the near decade she had them in place. Her left breast implant had mild capsular contracture and she felt they were too big for her small frame. She felt very comfortable with her decision to have explantation surgery.
An in-office procedure was performed under local anesthesia. Her existing scars under the breasts were used to remove her implants. She took a week off work and ten days off aggressive exercise.
Early follow up photos are shown 3 weeks after surgery. Her breasts have naturally contracted nearly to their pre-augmentation state in a short period of time. She is very happy with her decision and she finally “feels like herself”!
