Before and after deflation of saline implant bilaterally. This 37 year old woman had enjoyed her breast augmentation she had over 10 years ago, but felt that her breasts no longer suited her active lifestyle. She had a significant animation deformity and wanted her old breasts back – but did not want the downtime of a surgical procedure.
Thankfully, she was a candidate for in-office saline implant deflation! She returned to the office on the day of her procedure with a full stomach – there is no need for fasting for in-office surgery. “Before” photos were taken and she signed consent forms for this procedure.
A needle was inserted and several syringes of saline were removed from the implant until they were deflated. She left wrapped snugly in an ACE wrap and resumed exercise the following day.
Follow up photos are shown two weeks after implant deflation. Her breast skin has already contacted significantly and will continue to shrink to an even more aesthetically pleasing form by two months after implant deflation.
She can barely feel the implant shells under her breast tissue. She understands she has the option of having her empty implant shells removed another day under local in the office, but for now she is busy surfing! There is no risk of harm to keeping the deflated implant shells in the body over the long term.
