Before and after bilateral inverted nipple correction in a 23-year-old woman. She felt embarrassed that her nipples were inverted, particularly with her large areolas and pendulous breasts. She wanted them to be more “out” and was relieved to know that she would maintain normal sensation and still be able to breastfeed in the future.
Inverted nipple correction was performed under local anesthesia as a straightforward outpatient office procedure. After surgery, she wore protective “donut” splints in her bra for several weeks to avoid excess pressure on her nipples.
Long-term follow up photos are shown 2 years after surgery. She appreciates the normal appearance of her nipples and that even at rest or when she is warm, they are a little “out”, as shown in the images. When she is cold, they protrude even more and look very normal to her.
