Before and after unilateral inverted nipple correction in a 70-year-old woman. She had always been bothered about her nipple asymmetry, and she sought out inverted nipple repair after she learned it could be done under local anesthesia.
When asked “why now?” when we met this lovely women in consultation, she responded “why not?”! She was healthy enough to under a procedure local anesthesia, and she had time off to recover since she had taken a break from her volunteering for the summer.
An inverted nipple correction took just over a half hour to perform after injecting numbing medication. She declined oral anti-anxiety medication but accepted inhaled laughing gas, as it took only a minute or two to completely wear off.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery with eversion of her nipple and excellent symmetry with the other breast.
