Before and after bilateral inverted nipple correction in a 30-year-old woman with a unilateral (single-sided) inverted nipple. She found breastfeeding on that side exceedingly difficult and had to pump to try to get some milk out – her children naturally gravitated to her right breast. Now that she was done having children, she wanted her nipple to be more symmetric!
An inverted nipple correction was done under local anesthesia in the office with an oral anti-anxiety medication and laughing gas. After surgery, she wore a protective donut splint that provided padding around her repair.
Follow up photos are shown 6 weeks after surgery. She already has greatly improved symmetry and an improved body image.
