Before and after right nipple reduction in a 33 year old woman. She was self-conscious that her nipples were of different size.
A nipple reduction was performed in the office under local anesthesia, with the left nipple acting as a model for the right. A small wedge of nipple was excised and a local tissue rearrangement was performed to make the size, shape and projection of the nipple better match the other side.
A strong connection was kept between the surface of the nipple and the ducts connecting to the breast beneath, thereby best protecting future breastfeeding ability. Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery.
