Before and after bilateral breast reduction and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 42-year-old woman. Her breasts had always been part of her identity as a “larger, curvy woman.” She wanted to maintain her body image but to alleviate stress and strain on her neck and upper back.
A breast reduction removed some heavy breast tissue from the bottom of her breasts, and reshaped her remaining tissue, keeping her overall breast size proportional to her frame.
Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls. Long-term follow up photos are shown at 4 years after surgery. Her breast reduction was described as “the best thing I have ever done,” and something she recommends to any woman with macromastia!
