Before and after breast reduction in a 39 year old mother of four. She had heavy, extremely pendulous breasts that were weighing on her shoulders and neck and caused her to sleep with a bra and wear three sports bras when running. She has a congenital birthmark under her right breast that is mostly hidden by her breasts hanging so low.
A breast reduction removed a significant amount of heavy, dense breast tissue from the bottom and the sides of her breasts. Fullness was maintained at the top of her breasts, and an intact connection of blood vessels, nerves and ducts traveling to the nipple was maintained. This enables return of erogenous sensation to the nipples and preserves the ability to breast feed in the future.
The remainder of her breast tissue was rearranged into a perky, smaller breast shape which sits much higher on her chest. Liposuction of the axillary rolls (back fat/bra roll) contoured this region for the very best aesthetic results. Her birthmark is now clearly visible, which she does not mind at all! Follow up photos are shown at 6 months after surgery.
