Before and after breast reduction with liposuction of the bra roll/axillary rolls in a 26 year old woman. Since age 12, she had always been large-breasted, but over the last 5 years, she no longer could exercise without pain and had to wear a bra to bed just to get some restful sleep!
A breast reduction removed heavy, dense breast tissue and fat from the bottom and the sides of her breasts. The remainder of her breast tissue was rearranged, the nipple and areola was rotated to a higher position and an “auto-augmentation” method of breast lift rearranged her breast tissue higher on her chest wall.
Early follow up photos are shown just 2 months after surgery. Her wounds have stopped leaking and faint bruising at the bottom of her breasts is nearly gone. She has started scar therapy and is jogging and doing HIIT workouts again – only wearing a light sports bra! She still has normal swelling at the sides of her breasts from liposuction that will reabsorb and soften over the next several months.
She is very happy with her decision to have surgery at this stage of her single life, and is relieved to know what future breast feeding is still very likely, given the strong attachment between the remainder of her breast tissue and the nipple.
