Before and after breast reconstruction by breast reduction and lift technique in a 56-year-old woman with breast cancer. She required a right lumpectomy and wished to have reconstruction at the same time.
A combined breast cancer surgery and reconstruction was arranged as an outpatient procedure. Liposuction removed over a liter of excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls to enhance her aesthetic results.
After surgery, she underwent five weeks of radiation therapy to her right chest wall and completed a year of chemotherapy.
Follow up photos are shown 18 months after surgery. She appreciates her reconstruction results and that she did not need a mastectomy or an implant for reconstruction.
