Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 23-year-old woman. Her breasts were “unmanageable,” causing pain and strain on her neck, shoulder and upper back. She wanted her breasts to be smaller and lifted, but to still be proportional to the rest of her body – and to be able to exercise more easily!
During her breast reduction, over four pounds of excess breast tissue was removed from each breast! A robust blood supply, nerve supply and milk duct supply was maintained to the nipple using a superomedial pedicle technique. Her breasts were reshaped using the auto-augmentation method, where the breast is not only lifted, but moved into a pocket higher up on the chest wall.
Liposuction permanently removed fat from her bra rolls and armpits to complete the procedure. Follow up photos are shown 8 months after surgery.
