Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 49-year-old woman with macromastia causing pain, pulling, neck strain and inability to exercise easily. She also had asymmetry of her breast size, with the right breast being larger than the left.
A breast reduction removed nearly two pounds of excess breast tissue, fat and skin from her breasts. More tissue was removed from the right larger breast to balance out her breast size. Her remaining breast tissue was reshaped and lifted up higher on her chest, creating a rounder breast shape.
Liposuction removed a liter of excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls – this region is known as the axillary rolls. Follow up photos are shown 8 months after surgery.
