Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 50-year-old woman. She had heavy, pendulous breasts that were causing pain and strain on her neck, shoulders and upper back. She had tried “every sports bra known to mankind” but still had deep shoulder grooves and was finally ready for surgery as a permanent solution.
A breast reduction removed some breast tissue but left a proportional amount of breast tissue behind. Her breasts were lifted and reshaped, her areola diameter was reduced, and liposuction removed fat from her bra rolls and armpit region.
Early follow up photos are shown 4 months after surgery with normal bright pink scars and some residual swelling. She will be able to appreciate her final results after one year.
