Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 52-year-old woman. Her breasts had created painful and deep shoulder grooves and limited her ability to exercise and shop for normal clothing. Her goal was to have significantly smaller breasts but not be completely flat-chested.
A breast reduction removed over two pounds tissue from each breast, reshaping her remaining breast tissue and lifting it higher up on her chest. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls.
Follow up photos are shown a year and half after surgery. It will take years, but now that the weight of her breasts has been reduced and she no longer needs to wear such industrial-strength bras, her shoulder grooves will gradually resolve.
