Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift in a 19-year-old woman. Her breasts were heavy, pendulous and causing typical physical symptoms associated with “macromastia”, including back pain, shoulder grooving, neck pain and inability to exercise without wearing several sports bras. She had lost weight before surgery, but her breast size was limiting activity and hindering her progress.
A breast reduction removed some of her excess heavy breast tissue and fat, reshaped her breasts to be rounder and shapelier and repositioned them up higher on the chest wall. The “auto-augmentation” technique creates a lasting youthful breast shape that remains proportional to a woman’s body.
Long-term follow up photos are shown 3 years after surgery. Since her breast reduction, she had medical tattoo to brighten up her areolas since they were very pale. She has also lost weight and adopted a healthier lifestyle that she has found easy to maintain with her smaller breasts!
