Before and after breast reduction and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 16 year old woman. Her breasts were out of proportion to the rest of her body, with the bottom of her breast sitting at the level of her navel! “Macromastia” was making participation in sports and PE at school and finding bras that fit properly and didn’t hurt nearly impossible.
Together with her parents, she made the decision to have surgery at a young age to improve her quality of life now, rather than when she was older. She and her family were happy to learn that an intact connection is maintained between the remaining breast tissue and the nipples, so that future breastfeeding and erogenous sensation has the best possible chance of preservation after surgery.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery. She is working on improving her posture and has quickly become accustomed to her new and improved breast size and shape!
