Before and after bilateral breast reduction in a 58 year old woman. She had painful macromastia and asymmetric breasts. She was worried she would need to lose weight before she was approved for surgery, as she had reached a stubborn plateau in her weight loss.
While it is best to be at your ideal weight before any Plastic Surgery procedure, in her case, her extremely large and heavy breasts were limiting her physical activity. We decided to do surgery in advance of weight loss to facilitate better movement and less pain related to her breasts.
A breast reduction dramatically reduced her breast size and reshaped her breasts to a more aesthetic form. Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery. Her scars are beginning to mature, and she has become dedicated to a healthy lifestyle.
