Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 42-year-old mother. Her breasts, which were previously full and perky, had deflated and now sagged so that her nipples pointed to the floor. This is called Grade III (out of three) ptosis.
A breast reduction removed over a kilogram (2.5 pounds) of breast tissue and fat from each breast. The auto-augmentation method of tissue rearrangement was used to reshape her remaining breast tissue. Her areolas were made smaller, and her nipples were lifted to a more youthful position on the breast. Liposuction removed excess over a liter of excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery. She feels like she has a “new lease on life” and she actually is exercising now – and enjoying it!
