Before and after a breast reduction and liposuction of the axillary rolls and back fat/bra roll in a 49 year old woman. Her breasts had grown and become more heavy and a nuisance after she had children. She wanted to be smaller but maintain a good proportion to the rest of her body.
A breast reduction removed some of the heavy bottom-hanging breast tissue and reshaped her breasts so they were more shapely and youthful, with all the breast tissue sitting higher than her breast fold! Her areola diameter was reduced and her nipples were lifted. Excess fat from the sides of her breasts and armpit regions was permanently removed using liposuction.
Follow up photos are shown 5 weeks after surgery. She has been given the go-ahead to start exercising without restrictions again in one more week. She has recently started walking and getting her heart rate higher, always listening to her body and slowing down when things start to throb and ache. She is learning about scar therapy and is already so thrilled with her new breasts!
