Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 33-year-old woman. She was married but had not had children yet, but felt like she already looked matronly and much older than her actual age! She found exercise difficult and shopping for dresses exasperating.
A breast reduction removed over a pound of fat and breast tissue from each breast. Her remaining breast tissue was reshaped and moved up higher on her chest using the auto-augmentation technique. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She is relieved to know that she should still be able to breastfeed, since she is looking forward to starting her family! Breast reduction surgery is all about improving quality of life with activities of daily living and helping to improve body image – and she achieved these goals, and more!
