Before and after breast reduction and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 17 year old woman with heavy and excessively dense breasts and drooping that was interfering with nearly every aspect of her life!
A breast reduction removed much of her heavy tissue but maintained a youthful look and appropriate size for her frame. Reduction mammoplasty surgery always includes a lift of the remaining breast tissue. Note how before surgery, most of her breast tissue hangs below the fold of her breast, and afterwards, it is all lying above the fold.
Follow up images are shown 9 months after surgery. Her scars are still dark and continue to mature, which can take longer than a year in teenagers. Teenage patients tend to produce thicker scars that take longer to mature.
However, after her breast reduction, she is much more proportional, her back pain is gone, she can finally run and she feels she has a new and improved identity as she heads off to college!
