Before and after redo breast reduction/breast lift in a 60 year old woman. 30 years previously she had a breast reduction/lift, and since that time she went through menopause and gained some weight. Her breasts were again heavy and droopy. She needed help, but wanted to preserve her body image and not be too small.
A redo breast reduction removed heavy, dense breast tissue and fat from the bottom of her breasts and the sides. Good fullness and cleavage was maintained up top to preserve a feminine, aesthetic breast shape. Liposuction of the axillary rolls and the back fat/bra roll further improved the contour of these regions.
Follow up photos are shown at 6 months after surgery. She is lighter, with a perkier shape but she maintains proportion to the rest of her body. Her incisions are still slightly pink, which is normal with healing. Her scars will continue to fade over the next 6 months as she continues to do scar therapy.
