Before and after mastopexy in a 48 year old woman. She had previously had a breast reduction in her teens; after having children and breast feeding, she lost a significant amount of her breast volume with resultant empty drooping and lax skin. She liked the smaller breast volume and was “happy in a bra” = a perfect candidate for mastopexy!
Follow up photos at 9 months are shown. Her breast tissue was three dimensionally rearranged internally to create a perkier and more youthful breast shape. Only skin was removed.
Her resultant scars are the same as the original reduction; however the full “anchor scar” is not necessary. Old scars in her cleavage and extending past the side of her breast are evident from older-style breast reduction surgery.
Although she was happy in a bra before her breast lift procedure, she no longer needs to wear a bra. She loves wearing tank tops and dresses braless, with a youthful breast shape!
