Before and after bilateral breast augmentation in a 25-year-old woman with congenital breast asymmetry. She presented to our office with two procedure interests: To plan a breast augmentation to help create better symmetry with a much fuller results, and inverted nipple correction on the right.
Given that combining nipple surgery with insertion of a breast implant can potentially increase the risk of capsular contracture – due to stimulation of bacteria from the nipple that can enter the implant pocket, these procedures were staged. Inverted nipple correction was performed first, in the office under local anesthesia. Her ‘before’ photos are shown three weeks after inverted nipple correction.
Three months later, the patient scheduled her breast augmentation. Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. Separating these procedures
Follow up photos are shown 2 months after surgery.
