Before and after breast augmentation in a 27-year-old woman. Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. This surgery was done together with liposuction of her abdomen and thighs.
Long term follow up photos are shown two years postoperatively. Her nerves woke up completely several months after surgery. She feels natural and very comfortable in her own skin. She will continue to follow up with us in the long term.
Our patients are is relieved to learn that another surgery is only needed if a woman decides she no longer wants her implants (explantation can be easily done in the office under local anesthesia), if she has a complication that requires another surgery or if she wants a change, for instance after having children.
