Before and after bilateral breast augmentation and mastopexy in a 30 year old woman. She naturally had tubular shaped breasts and had lost nearly 180 pounds after gastric bypass. Her weight had been stable for two years. She was now ready to complete her transformation as a reward to herself for adopting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
She wanted her breasts to be proportional to the rest of her curves. She wanted to continue her cross-fit training after surgery and was thrilled to learn she would not have the animation deformity (flexion and displacement of breast implants with pectoralis muscle flexion) she saw each day in the gym.
Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle for the most natural result. Her nipples and areolas were lifted to a more youthful position on the breasts and her areola diameter was reduced. Excess skin from the bottom of her breasts was tucked upwards to help create the most round and perky breast shape.
Liposuction was done in the axillary roll (armpit) area and the sides of the breasts to permanently remove residual stubborn fat in these regions. Small touches like this make the results so much better than if they were not addressed. It’s the details of cosmetic surgery that make the results standard or WOW!
Follow up photos are shown just 3 months after surgery. She has started scar therapy and knows her incisions will fade over the next 3-6 months. She looks natural, she has exercises without restrictions and she expresses she “feels like myself” when she looks in the mirror.
