Before and after umbilicoplasty as part of an abdominal scar and tummy tuck revision in a 54 year old woman. Her belly button was distorted from scar tissue and a chronic open wound from a complication when she had a Mommy Makeover elsewhere.
Her abdominal wound was treated surgically, redoing her tummy tuck and reinsetting the belly button. Fat was removed from around the belly button via direct excision. To allow the abdominal wound to be closed, a V-to-Y closure was required for the belly button, which created a vertical scar at the bottom of the belly button.
Follow up photos are shown two years after surgery.
