Before and after umbilicoplasty as part of an abdominoplasty in a 40-year-old woman. She also had developed an “outie” belly button appearance due to significant rectus diastasis.
Correction of her navel involved repairing her rectus abdominis muscles back together in the midline, and pushing some protruding preperitoneal fat back inward. After surgery, she applied scar gel to her incisions for a full six months to help with scar maturation.
Follow up photos are shown 18 months after surgery.
