Before and after liposuction of the arms in a 27-year-old woman. After losing a significant amount of weight, her arms still had excess fat that made wearing short-sleeved shirts uncomfortable. Since she was planning other major body contouring surgery, she did not want to add on a full brachioplasty (upper arm lift) with its attendant scars and additional drains. She elected to have liposuction only and see what kinds of results she could achieve.
Liposuction of the arms was performed at the same time as a full abdominoplasty and liposuction of several other areas of her body. After surgery, she wore compression sleeves for several weeks under her clothes.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery. While she still has some excess skin in her upper arm area, she does have greatly improved arm contour, which was her very goal!
