Before and after a Mommy Makeover in a 37-year-old mother of three. Although she was very physically active and slender, her abdominal muscles were not working effectively due to rectus diastasis. When she planked (daily), it felt like her “guts were going to fall out” and there was no more she could do at the gym to help this.
Her breasts had lost their former fullness. Her goal was to be as full as she was during breast feeding. Every Mommy Makeover procedure is individualized to each Mom, based on her body and her aesthetic goals.
A breast augmentation restored her breast volume by placing smooth round silicone gel breast implants on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) removed as much lower abdominal skin (including stretch marks) as possible, repaired her rectus abdominis muscles back together in the midline, and pulled her abdominal wall tautly downward.
Liposuction of the axillary rolls, upper and lower abdomen, flanks and upper inner thighs completed the procedure. Early follow up photos are shown just 6 weeks after surgery. She has been given permission to resume her HIIT workouts and she has started scar therapy.
Time will only help her results look even better, as she is still hanging on to firm swelling called “edema” that will gradually go away over many months. Her scars will mature and will be hidden in her brand new bikinis, which she just ordered online! ☺
