Before and after Mommy Makeover that included a breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and liposuction in a 32-year-old woman. Her formerly full breasts had lost their volume after breastfeeding her three children and had some natural droop but that did not bother her. She wanted to restore lost volume but to keep a natural breast shape.
Her formerly flat belly had excess skin, stretch marks and fat, with a “shelf” of excess tissue that hung over her C-section scar. She also had accumulated excess fat in several areas that she never had before becoming a mother. She wanted to restore her smooth belly and did not mind having a longer scar than the one that was already there.
Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position through an incision under her breasts. A tummy tuck removed many of her stretch marks along with excess lower abdominal skin. Her rectus abdominis muscles were repaired to one another in the midline, correcting her rectus diastasis.
Liposuction removed collections of excess fat from her armpit region (axillary rolls), upper and lower abdomen, pubic region, anterior flanks and inner thighs. After surgery, her drains were in place for a week, and resumed full exercise in six weeks.
Follow up photos are shown 8 months after surgery. Her breasts took around three months to feel like they were “part of her,” and now she just feels like herself! Her scars are maturing, and her abdominal skin sensation is returning. Exercise feels much better (especially planks), and she loves being natural in her own skin!
