Before and after liposuction of the abdomen in a 53 year old woman. She was having a breast reconstruction revision which included harvest of free fat graft to inject into the breast area to help smooth out the transition between her mastectomy edge and the implant for reconstruction.
A total of 600 cc of fat was removed via seven small (2-3 mm) incisions. To put this volume into perspective, a full bottle of wine is 750 cc. Following surgery, she wore an abdominal binder and EPI-foam under her clothes to help her body absorb postoperative swelling (edema) for three months.
Follow up photos are shown 9 months after surgery. Having liposuction of her belly was an excellent bonus to having reconstructive surgery!
