Before and after liposuction of the abdomen and flanks of a 47 year old woman. She had always been thin and athletic, but post-pregnancy she gradually accumulated excess fat in her midsection that caused her to feel “masculine shaped and boxy”.
Liposuction of the abdomen and circumferential flanks permanently removed fat from these areas. Her pubic region and upper inner thighs were also treated. Postoperatively, she wore and abdominal binder for compression for three months, gradually weaning off it.
Follow up photos are shown four months after surgery. She loves her waist definition now and is thrilled to know that she still has some firm areas of swelling called edema that will continue to gradually go away over the next several months.
