Before and after liposuction of the body in a 42 year old woman. She had the traditional “violin shape” that many pear shaped women have in their lower body. She worked hard at the gym but was frustrated that she could not improve this part of her body.
Liposuction permanently removed fat by way of several 2 mm incisions hidden in body creases from her outer thighs, inner thighs, flanks, hips and lower abdomen. Postoperatively, she wore a compression garment under her clothes for several months to encourage skin contraction.
Follow up photos are shown nine months after surgery. She can now appreciate her figure and although she “will never be perfect” (no one is!), she certainly feels more comfortable in her own skin.
