Before and after liposuction of the inner and outer thighs circumferentially, the buttock roll (also known as the “banana roll” as it is shaped like a banana crescent of fat under the buttock crease), and lower abdomen in a 42 year old woman. She had a physically active job but could not lose her “thunder thighs”. She wasn’t looking to be a model; just to be able to fit in her work uniform!
Liposuction of those areas was performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Nearly 7 liters of fat were removed! The buttock cheeks were left alone – the goal is to bring out prominent fat around the buttocks, which makes the derrière look shapelier.
Follow up photos are shown at four months after surgery. She is able to exercise without her thighs rubbing together now, and is on her way to running her first marathon! She still has mild skin discoloration which will resolve on its own over the next several months.
