Before and after liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, pubic region and upper inner thighs in a 34 year old woman. She previously had an abdominoplasty elsewhere but her surgeon did not include liposuction as part of the procedure. While she appreciated the improved overall appearance of her belly, she still had excess fat that she could not tackle with diet and exercise.
Liposuction of these areas was done under a brief general anesthetic and as an outpatient procedure. Postoperatively, she wore an abdominal binder under her clothes for 3 weeks to encourage skin contraction and to limit swelling.
Follow up photos are shown at 3 months after surgery. She finally has the results she was going for in the first place! We always combine liposuction with excisional procedures such as a tummy tuck. Our goal is to achieve the very best results in a single procedure!
