Before and after ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) of the body in a 40-year-old man. Together with liposuction of his neck and chest, he wanted to reduce the amount of fat in his abdomen and circumferential flanks.
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction of the abdomen and flanks (love handles) permanently removed fat through several tiny incisions. Ultrasound energy is necessary to break up the firm, fibrous tissue that is common in male fat, particularly the flanks.
After surgery, he took a full three weeks off exercise (until his bruising was all gone) and worked from home for the first week before going back to the office.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery. His contour is already drastically improved. With another six to nine months, he will realize his final results.
