Before and after ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) of the chest in a 40-year-old man with gynecomastia (male breast tissue). Together with liposuction of his neck and body, he wanted to reduce the amount of fat in his chest and to have a less feminine look.

Ultrasound-assisted liposuction of the chest permanently removed fat from his breasts and armpits through several tiny incisions. Ultrasound energy is necessary to break up the firm, fibrous tissue that is common in male fat, particularly the male chest when there is gynecomastia.

After surgery, he took a full three weeks off exercise (until his bruising was all gone) and worked from home for the first week before going back to the office.

Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery. His contour is already drastically improved with less “man boobs” or “moobs”. In another six to nine months, he will realize his final results.
