Before and after abdominoplasty revision and liposuction of the body in a 59-year-old woman who had a tummy tuck without liposuction twenty years previously. After going through menopause, she gained some weight and developed a “shelf” of extra skin and fat above her old abdominoplasty scar. She wanted to improve the appearance of her abdomen.
An abdominoplasty revision removed excess skin and fat from her lower belly and liposuction removed several liters of fat from her upper and lower abdomen, circumferential flanks, bra rolls and upper back, pubic region and upper inner thighs. After surgery, she wore compression under her clothes for several months to encourage skin contraction and limit swelling.
Follow up photos are shown 2 years after surgery, with an improved result to her abdominal contour.
