Before and after liposuction of the abdomen in a 51-year-old woman. Together with a breast reduction, she wanted to reduce the fat in her belly region. She had not had children, so she did not need a tummy tuck. Her goals were to keep her curvy figure and to have less fat in her midsection.
Liposuction permanently removed over three liters of fat through several tiny incisions hidden in her belly button and several skin creases. She also had fat removal in the axillary rolls (bra rolls, armpits), which is standard for breast reduction surgery.
After surgery, she wore an abdominal binder for several weeks under her clothes, followed by compressive shapewear. Follow up photos are shown 8 months after surgery.
