Before and after liposuction of the abdomen, circumferential flanks, upper inner and outer thighs, and the roll under the buttock known as the “banana roll” in a 59-year-old woman.
She found that after menopause, she accumulated extra fat in these areas. She was not looking to wear bikinis again, just for her work pants to not fit so snugly. She also had a shelf of excess skin above a scar in her pubic region from having a hysterectomy.
Liposuction permanently removed five liters of fat through several tiny incisions hidden in skin creases. A scar revision removed skin and fat from her lower abdomen to remove the shelf. Follow up photos are shown 10 months after surgery.
