Before and after liposuction of the body in a 50-year-old woman. She was at her ideal weight and was physically fit, but had some stubborn fat in her abdominal region and love handles that she wanted to address at the same time as a breast procedure.
Liposuction removed a liter of fat from her abdomen and flanks as an outpatient procedure done under general anesthesia. Postoperatively, she wore a compression binder or shapewear under her clothes for three months.
Follow up photos are shown six months after surgery. The firm swelling known as “edema” has nearly resolved and she can now wear the fitted dresses she’s been saving in her closet very comfortably!
