Before and after liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, pubic region and lower back rolls in a 37 year old woman. She didn’t like how she was always “thick in the middle” despite being an athlete and very physically fit.
Liposuction of these areas of her body was performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient Plastic Surgery procedure. Postoperatively, she wore compression garments under her clothes for 6 weeks, then slowly weaned herself off.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery. It’s incredible how much the skin contracts when fat is removed strategically! Natural elastin in the dermal layer of skin promotes the skin to mold to its new sculpted form after liposuction is performed. While she still has firm “edema” (congested areas of hard swelling that take many more months to slowly resorb and eventually soften), she can appreciate her results already.
