Before and after liposuction of the axillary rolls (armpit fat) in a 26 year old woman. She was planning to have a breast augmentation and lift. When we examine patients before surgery, we look at the entire chest area as an “aesthetic unit”.
The armpits can make or break the look of a woman in a tank top or spaghetti straps. If there is even a small fat collection here, we usually recommend removing it permanently with liposuction. This can be done in the office under local anesthesia, or combined with a larger Plastic Surgery procedure, as for this patient.
Fat was permanently removed from her axillary rolls using liposuction. Follow up photos are shown three months postoperatively. She never gives her armpits a second thought now! That is the magic of a cosmetic procedure: we subtly modify a body part so that you can move forward and not think about it anymore!
