Before and after liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 52-year-old woman. She was bothered by the fullness that had developed in her armpit region with menopause. She wanted to have a nicer contour to this area so that she could wear tank tops and strapless dresses without worrying about her “fat poking out the top and sides.”
Liposuction was performed under local anesthesia with laughing gas and an oral anti-anxiety medication. After surgery, she wore a compressive bandeau strap over her breasts with additional compressive foam for a full month. She started scar therapy at one month and resumed full exercise when she felt ready – at five weeks.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery. She arrived to her follow up wearing a spaghetti strap sundress – and was happy!
