Before and after liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 26-year-old woman. She was slender, but had fullness in her armpit region that poked out from her tank tops and made her feel self-conscious.
Since the area to be treated was small and going to sleep was not necessary, liposuction was planned awake under local anesthesia in the office operating room. The patient was offered laughing gas and an oral anti-anxiety medication prior to injecting numbing.
Follow up photos are shown 6 weeks after surgery. Her bruising is nearly resolved, and she can already appreciate her results. She has started scar therapy and already feels comfortable wearing tanks without having to push her armpit fat in!
