Before and after liposuction of the arms in a 54 year old woman. She had always disliked her arms and wanted to improve their appearance.
Liposuction of her arms was combined with other Mommy Makeover procedures. Postoperatively, she wore compression sleeves under her clothes for two months. She planned surgery at a time when the weather was cooler and she would not have worn short sleeves anyway.
Follow up photos are shown five months after surgery. Her upper arm contour is improved, but she still has “streaky edema” seen primarily from the front. She loves her arms already and is thrilled the results will continue to improve with time!
The thin skin of the upper inner arms shows the internal swelling here more than other parts of the body. Consequently, it takes the arms longer than other liposuction sites for the final results to be appreciated.
