Before and after liposuction of the arms in a 49-year-old woman. Her arms had always been her “weak spot” despite working out regularly and eating a healthy diet.
Liposuction removed a full liter of fat from each upper arm through several tiny incisions hidden in skin creases. After surgery, she wore compression sleeves under her clothes for several months to encourage skin contraction.
Long-term follow up photos are shown 4 years after surgery. She is pleased with the appearance of her arms and had realistic expectations about the possible results from liposuction alone. She knows that a full brachioplasty would be necessary to remove loose skin and tighten up the contour of her upper arms even further.
