Before and after labiaplasty in a 23-year-old woman. She had the usual symptoms of redundant labia minora tissue, including feeling self-conscious in intimate settings and when wearing light-colored swimsuits, discomfort while exercising and when wearing yoga pants.
A labiaplasty trimmed excess labia minora tissue, as shown in the images below. Labia tissue is called mucosa (versus skin), which heals in most cases without an obvious scar.
Her incisions are also shown at her 6-week postop follow-up visit. She now does not think twice about wearing a white bikini or sitting cross-legged in a bathing suit. She can exercise without difficulty and have intercourse without discomfort!
