Before and after labiaplasty focusing on the labia minora in a 38 year old woman. She had always felt self-conscious about this area of her anatomy and now that she was single, she felt it was a good time to address it with a labiaplasty procedure.
The first set of images show her redundant labia minora at rest and moved out to the side. The second images show surgical markings, where the labia minora is planned to be trimmed using the “trim technique”. Parts of the labia minora that are darker, long and that have a cobblestone-like texture are planned for excision. The labia minora that is left behind is more smooth, pink in color and shiny. This allows for normal lubrication and function of the labia minora after surgery.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery, together with the tissue that was trimmed. She expresses that she is so much more comfortable exercising, walking and wearing yoga pants. She has started dating and shared that – for once – being intimate with a new partner did not feel embarrassing.
